Description
1. Original Work Only. All poems must be the original work of the performer. No plagiarism allowed. 2. Time Limit: Each poet has 3 minutes to perform their piece. Time starts with the first word or gesture. 3. No Props or Music. This is a spoken word contest. No musical accompaniment, props, or costumes allowed. Just you and your words! 4. Content Guidelines - We encourage artistic freedom, but please keep content appropriate for a general audience (PG-13). 5. Performance Style – Poems may be read or recited from memory. Delivery and stage presence count! 6. Audience Choice Voting - The winner will be chosen by audience vote, bring your best performance! 7.
