The STAR Society invites visual artists to submit work for our upcoming Tropical Art Exhibition, “Beneath the Painted Palms”, celebrating the summer opening of our Shakespeare production, Much Ado About Nothing. Let your creativity flow with vibrant, sun-soaked, island-inspired pieces that transport viewers to the tropics!

Exhibition Details:

Ages 14+ are welcome to submit art

 Theme: Tropical – Think bold colors, lush foliage, ocean scenes, warm breezes, and exotic vibes.

Media Accepted: 2D wall-hung works only – i.e. photography, painting, drawing, pastel, illustration, and mixed media on canvas, paper, etc. Original creations only; no Ai-created submissions.

Submittal Deadline: Friday, June 20th

Opening Reception: Friday, June 27th at 7pm - 9pm – Join us for an evening wine event to kick off the exhibit!

Tied-In Event: Much Ado About Nothing runs July 4–6 & July 11–13, bringing extra foot traffic and community engagement to your work.

Exhibit Duration: June 27 – August 1, 2025

Location: STAR Society 22520 SW Washington St., Sherwood OR

Pick-Up Date: All unsold work must be picked up by August 5th.

Sales Info: STAR Society retains a 30% commission on all sales to support our non-profit theatre and arts programs.

How to Submit: Please fill out our submittal form and attach your submissions (up to 3 pieces) with images, titles, dimensions, medium, and price.
