Get Involved

As a non-profit organization, we are always seeking support from our community. People can get involved by volunteering, whether it’s helping at events, participating in our theatrical productions, or joining one of our action committees to shape the future of our programs. Additionally, individuals can support Sherwood Theatre & Arts Resource Society (STARS) by making donations, which directly contribute to our mission of fostering creativity and providing resources for the arts. • We are committed to producing several theatrical performances each year, both at our own small historic facility and at the larger Sherwood Center for the Arts, located just a couple of blocks away. This allows us to showcase a variety of productions while engaging with the local community in different creative spaces.

  • Our visual arts program includes classes provided by Vine Gogh Sip & Paint, offering a fun and creative way for participants to explore their artistic side. In addition, we are excited to announce the upcoming addition of a large gallery wall, which will provide local artists the opportunity to showcase their work through art showings and exhibitions, further supporting the local arts community.

  • Our music program currently encourages local musicians to get involved in our musical theatre productions, providing them with opportunities to collaborate and showcase their talents. Soon, we will be expanding our offerings with open mic nights, karaoke, and jam sessions at our Loft space, creating a welcoming environment for musicians to perform, connect, and grow within the community.

  • We currently offer a Poetry Club where creative writers and poetry enthusiasts can come together to share and explore their work. Additionally, we have a Book Club in the works, aimed at fostering discussions around a wide range of literary genres. Looking ahead, we hope to expand with poetry reading nights, providing a platform for poets to perform and celebrate their craft in front of an audience.
